St Croix/Strike Pro Round 1 Bemm River Victoria
Season 15’s kick-off round was a smashing hit, making it one of our most memorable tournaments ever! The event at Bemm River didn’t just meet expectations – it shattered Bemm’s records with unparalleled participant numbers!
Daiwa’s very own Richard Patterson stole the show, bagging the top spot with a whopping total weight of 6/5.87kg. Not stopping there, he weighed in the tournament’s heaviest bream, tipping the scales at a solid 1.28kg.
In second place, Tamworth angler Jason Marshall, who normally spends his time chasing freshwater native fish, landed the biggest bag weight at 3/3.34kg on day one. The second day proved harder, with a 3/2.17kg, snagging him the runner-up spot with 6/5.51kg.
In third, Victorian Mitch McMaster weighed in 6/5.13kg and in fourth, Victorian, Hurricane Team Member, Tony Pettie, weighed in 6/4.86kg. All four anglers have now qualified for the Australian Championship to be held in November at Camden Haven, NSW.
An amazing 123 anglers registered for the round, with 121 weighing and releasing their catches. A jaw-dropping 658 fish were weighed in, totalling an impressive 423.93kg, at an average weight of 640gm.!
As an opening round for Season 15 we couldn’t have asked for more.
