The three shipping containers that left the Hobie Cat Australasia factory on Australia’s east coast last week have finally arrived at the event site for the 2017 Hobie Kayak Bream Series Australian Championship, in Mandurah Western Australia.
Full of all of the tournament equipment, including the brand new 2017 Pro Angler kayaks, the containers were moved into place late yesterday under the supervision of the factory advance party. Tomorrow, the remainder of the tournament team will fly out from Sydney to Perth to begin the set up of the kayaks and the event site.
All will be in place and look spectacular by the Mandatory Briefing for anglers at 6:30pm on Wednesday evening. The briefing will be Live Streamed on Facebook, and on the Hobie Fishing website. Besides outlining the tournament information and introducing the competing anglers, the evening will feature three announcements. The 2017 Angler of the Year; the team to represent Australia at the 2018 Hobie Fishing World Championship in Sweden; and the anglers who have qualified to fight it out from PA 17T kayaks next year in the inaugural teams Sottie-Barra Bash up in north Queensland.
Getting excited!
