It’s all come to this. 16 rounds and 12 months later, 48 anglers from coast to coast took to the water today in South Yunderup, Western Australia for Day One of the 2014 Hobie Kayak Bream Series Grand Final. Check out the launch below.
After a sensational egg and bacon breakfast supplied by the team at Getaway Outdoors, the excitement was electric as our grand finalists prepared their Hobie Pro Angler 12’s for take off at the Power-Pole start line. At 7:00am, the horn sounded and our anglers headed out for the first day of the Hobie Kayak Bream Series Grand Final!
The Lowrance Navigation Day is a fantastic opportunity for the grand finalists to get an up close and personal look at the tournament venue. Having sounded their chosen areas and seen good fish, tomorrow the task is going to be getting them in the well. Check out the images below from today’s action!

Yesterday, The team on site from Hobie Cat Australasia and Getaway Outdoors cracked open the two 40 foot containers of kayaks and begun the process of putting it all together. Today the work continues, though we are now beginning to see the fruits of our labor as the event site begins to take shape.
The container doors have been cracked opened for the first time since leaving the Hobie Cat® Australasia factory in NSW more than a week ago.
