Yesterday, The team on site from Hobie Cat Australasia and Getaway Outdoors cracked open the two 40 foot containers of kayaks and begun the process of putting it all together. Today the work continues, though we are now beginning to see the fruits of our labor as the event site begins to take shape.
The container doors have been cracked opened for the first time since leaving the Hobie Cat® Australasia factory in NSW more than a week ago. Now that’s 55 x Pro Angler 12 kayaks, 55 x Hobie® MirageDrives® with Glide Technology, 55 x Hobie Live Wells, 55 x Lowrance Elite-5 CHIRP sounders, 55 x Hobie Drift Chutes, 55 Vantage seats, 55 of this and 55 of that and more of this and more of that. The tournament team now have a couple of tough days setting the kayaks up for those lucky grand finalists who will get to use the fully rigged, brand Pro Angler 12’s for the first time in an Australian tournament.
