Daniel Brown adds his name to the Hobie BREAM Kayak Grand Final trophy with victory in the 2010 GF. Saving his best bag to the final day (2.45kg) Brown leap frogged from 3rd to 1st to secure his maiden Hobie win.
Compiling a 6/6, 4.62kg limit for the event Brown achieved a comprehensive win over his nearest rival, Tasmania Andrew Krushka (6/6, 1.94kg), with the 2010 champ securing the 2010 title by 400 grams.
Day one leader Jordan Trusty stuggled to find the quality fish from day one, slipping to 3rd place.

Victorian breamer Jordan Trusty continues his hot form in the Hobie BREAM Series leading after day one of the Hobie BREAM Kayak Grand Final (3/3, 2.32kg). Tasmanian Andrew Krushka shows that he’s a dab hand at yellowfin breaming, holding down second place with his 3/3, 2.28kg bag, while Taree local Darren ‘Digit’ Brown is well and truly still in the hunt heading into day three thanks to his 3/3, 2.17kg limit. The day one Boss Hog was Kevin Winchesters 1.42kg blue nose, with the Forster monster adding $250 to his bank account. Sunday is pay-day for the Hobie GF so stay tuned to see who takes away the spoils and adds the Hobie BREAM Kayak Grand Final trophy to their mantle piece.

Hobie ABT Kayak Grand Final – Official Pre-Fish Day – May 14, 2010
Sunny but windy (and cold) conditions greeted competitors today on the foreshore of the Foster Boat Harbour for the official pre-fish and kayak briefing and kayak allocation.
The normal “fish tales” started as everyone made their way back from the Wallis Lake system. Stories of “3 kilo bags” to “only a few small ones” were the norm of the afternoon chat .
The final preparations are being done for the Hobie ABT Kayak Grand Final.

Well the road crew had just returned with some great shots!!

The photos from Round One are now posted in photo gallery
