New to Kayaking

Postby Timbo » Wed Mar 03, 2010 9:22 am

Hi all, just saying g'day. I've just bought my first kayak. Unfortunately the only one I "road" tested was a mate's Pro-Angler. So no prizes for guessing which one I had to have!!!!!.
Only just managed to get a Yak before becoming a Grand father. Sad isn't it?
Many thanks to Scott and Richard at Scott Lovig Hobie for the great service and advice.
Looking forward to meeting some of you at the Marlo event later this month.

Regards
Tim

Well, I got the fitout finished and took the ship for it's first real trip (sneaked up to Auravale Lake for a quick spin last weekend).
Tried it out at Patterson Lakes on Friday morning and couldn't be happier with my decision to buy the Pro Angler. Only managed a half dozen very small bream on surface lures, but to say I was stoked would be an understatement. I will be trying to get in another test or two before the Marlo event later this month.
Hope to catch up with a few of you then.
Regards
Tim

Thanks guys.
Greg, sorry I haven't replied earlier. Only weighed the one legal at Marlo (1.24kg though so I was pretty happy). Had a ball and can't wait for the next series.
Good luck in the Grand Final.
